"Unforgettable O'Malley saga ends with style!"
Unlike previous novels in the prolific Skye O'Malley
series, this book is the story of three granddaughters of
the matriarch of the family, Jasmine Leslie, Duchess of
Glenkirk. Written in three parts, Ms. Small tells each
heroine's story separately, even as she intricately weaves
one into the next. Fancy Devers is not looking for a husband when her family
sends her to her grandmother in England. She leaves
Maryland surrounded by rumors that she murdered her
husband, but immediately catches the eye of Charles II.
She'd much rather enjoy the pleasures of the bed as a
mistress than be subject to a husband's control. But Lady
Jasmine is determined to find her beloved granddaughter a
husband when this passing fancy is over. Lady Diana, daughter of Patrick and Flanna Leslie, has been
groomed to be an English lady by her grandmother. At the
court of Charles II, she gained the sobriquet Siren, and
all the men are drawn to her sweet song. But she finally
reduces her court to two suitors. Damien and Darius are
twin brothers, and so alike, she despairs she can ever
choose between them; until she sends each on a quest to
find her the perfect gift. Lady Cynara Stuart is Jasmine's granddaughter by her not-so-
royal son, Charles. Cynara is very much a Stuart, and when
she first sees Harry Summers, Earl of Summerfield, she will
have no other to husband. Harry has no intention of ever
marrying, even the seductively innocent beauty who pursues
him relentlessly. But he never counted on Lady Cynara's
dogged determination to seduce him until he admits his love
for her and begs her to marry him. Dedicated fans of the series will not be disappointed by
this conclusion to the O'Malley saga, except those who'll
mourn the end of an era to this dynastic family. During
this time, Ms. Small wrote with an amazing depth of
character, creating a fascinating family bound by love,
history and continuity. Fancy, Diana and Cynara are
characters not to be forgotten, merely a continuation and
conclusion of a long line of unforgettable hero and
heroines created by this talented author.
