REVIEW

"Delightfully romantic."

Tom Murdock is a good man who's been betrayed by his partner in their sawmill business, has lost the deed to the property he dreams of building on, has survived a fire, and yet still remains kind, generous and unselfish. He'd give up everything he owns to put his two young brothers through school and make sure his payroll is met, so his hardworking employees can take care of their families. Even teetering on bankruptcy, this unique man never gives up hope.

Amanda Ryan rides into Tom's life, literally, on a bicycle, capturing his attention and soon after, his heart. She's strong, beautiful and fiercely independent. Amanda is a midwife and plans to open a small practice in Banff along with an orphanage to fulfill what she yearns for most in the world - a child.

Amanda tries not to fall in love with Tom, but that's easier said than done. She's a divorced woman harboring a deeply buried secret that's breaking her heart. How can she expect Tom to sacrifice his need and desire for a family of his own? But fate steps in and brings these two beautiful people together.

Tom gives Amanda the freedom to be herself, to accept herself the way she is with all her flaws and inabilities. Amanda fills Tom's life and heart with so much love and laughter he can't imagine life without her. It's a true love - a forever love.

This is a lovely story and delightfully romantic. Ms. Bridges is in a class all her own. One should never miss any of her wonderful stories, and this one is no exception. Read and enjoy!

Summary

If Amanda Ryan's secret past were known, her fresh start in life would come to a dead stop. No one would readily accept a divorced, barren midwife. Not even, she feared, Tom Murdock. For though he'd roused her slumbering womanhood, she could never be the wife he deserved.

Just when his battered faith in human nature was almost restored, Tom Murdock discovered that Amanda Ryan had outright lied to him, destroying their chances for happiness. Or had she? For this feisty, independent woman, who could never give him the family he'd dreamed of, had made him desire things he'd never imagined.
