REVIEW

"Erotic jewelery, a mystery and unexpected love!"

Jenna Sinclair, a concert violinist, comes from a long line of talented women. Her grandmother was an opera star and her mother followed her grandmother's footsteps. As a matter of fact, Jenna's mother didn't have time for her or her father so Jenna was left with her grandmother when she was very small. Now her grandmother is on her deathbed and has given Jenna a mission. She gives Jenna her diary and tells her there are another diary and some erotic jewelry hidden in a desk. Jenna must find them and get rid of them because they have the ability to hurt some very prominent people.

Jenna is outraged when she finds out that her mother lets her great-uncle go into her grandmother's house and sell some furniture, specifically three desks. Now it's up to Jenna to find those desks so she can hunt for the diary and the jewelry. She finds nothing in the first two desks but the man who bought the second desk tells Jenna that anything in the desk technically belongs to him. That's when Jenna decides to visit the owner of the third desk so she can secretly go through the desk.

Jenna doesn't know what is in store for her. Rancher Sam Winchester is a hunk and a half and she's extremely attracted to him but she can't do anything about it because she doesn't want to end up like her mother. Plus she can't tell Sam about the diary and the jewelry.

Sam's city-slicker ex-wife has already burned him and he's definitely not looking for another city girl but Jenna isn't anything like his ex-wife. She seems to take to ranching like she was born to it. Sam does his best not to fall in love with Jenna because he knows she'll leave him but he'll do everything in his power to make her want to stay.

This story was such a great read. I enjoyed it from the standpoint of Jenna doing all she can to honor her grandmother's dying wish and having Jenna read excerpts from her grandmother's diaries was intriguing. Sam was such a likeable guy and I know I was sure on pins and needles to see if he could make Jenna want to stay with him. I have loved Karen Anders stories thus far and eagerly look forward to more of them.

Summary

READING JUST TOOK ON A WHOLE NEW MEANING!

Her grandmother's diaries held enough scorching scandal to keep the press busy for years, along with the erotic body jewelry secreted with the diaries. All Jenna Sinclair had to do was use her fame and her exotic feminine charms to get into the houses of the three men who had purchased each desk. And it worked like a charm until she came up against sexy, former Texas Ranger, Sam Winchester. Suddenly, Jenna didn't just want the inheritance her grandmother had been desperate she receive-she wanted Sam. Problem is, seducing his body was the plan, losing her heart was not.
