"A Chilling Tale"
Nell comes back to the small town of Silence after having
left twelve years before. Her father has passed away and
her sister has left town; but her first love, Max, is still
in Silence. Unknown by the town, Nell has returned to
investigate a series of murders. She is part of a special
group in the F.B.I. with psychic powers. She feels evil
lurking around her and as she tries to tap into the
murders, she has more psychic experiences and blackouts.
The special group feels that it could possibly be a
policeman who is the murderer but has trouble finding a
connection among all the killings. Max has never gotten over Nell and is concerned for her
safety as he follows her around town. But where is the
voice that calls her name and why does she feel the evil
surrounding her as more people are murdered? As her
blackouts become more frequent, she is concerned for her
life and her sanity. WHISPER OF EVIL is the second book in Kay Hooper's Evil
series and another frightening read. The book is well
written and takes the reader on a journey into ESP and the
psychic world. It is a chilling tale with some twists and
turns that make it even more sinister. All of the
secondary characters progress the story and no indication
is given about who could be involved with the murders. It
is a well-crafted book and a fascinating read. I am
looking forward to reading the third book in this series,
SENSE OF EVIL. WHISPER OF EVIL is another exceptionable
book by the renowned Kay Hooper.
