REVIEW

"Readers of all ages will enjoy this one!"

Sam Hatcher lives on a farm with his parents and has always wanted adventure. On Sam's sixteenth birthday his father tells him that he was once in the Royal Guard. He tells Sam to go to the Captain of the Guard and see if he can gain admittance to this elite group.

Sam meets with Captain Clerret of the Royal Guard who tells him that he cannot belong to the elite group but that he can see if Rigby Skeet, a sword for hire, will take him in and train him. If Sam can be trained, maybe Captain Clerret will let him join the Royal Guard.

Once Sam hooks up with Rigby they discover that the rightful king Olive is alive and in the dungeon of The Boneman. They decide to rescue Olive so he can take back his rightful throne from his evil and strange brother Boonder. From then on adventures abound and there's even a little romance as well. You never know who or what will turn up next!

If you are a fan of books such as THE PRINCESS BRIDE, then this is a must read. This quick easy fun read will appeal to fantasy readers of all ages. There's a little something for everyone in this humorous page turning adventure. I highly recommend this one.
