"Suspense at it's finest!"
This romantic suspense is just that -- suspense at it's
finest! This book had me on the edge of my seat flipping
pages as quickly as I could in order to get to the
climactic ending! Genna Snow, now a top FBI agent, didn't always have
it so easy. When she was younger, she and her older sister
spent the summer at a church youth camp. Brother Michael,
the leader of the camp, was a pedophile. When it was
Genna's turn to go through the purification process, she
did Brother Michael bodily harm and ran away. Patsy, the
woman who found her, stood by Genna when she testified
against Michael and when Genna's family didn't want her any
more, Patsy became her foster mother. Now Genna is picked to be on a team of FBI agents'
investigation the disappearance of several women. They
disappeared without a trace and there are absolutely no
clues. John Mancini, Genna's one time love interest and
fellow FBI agent, heads up the team. Can Genna and John
work together without letting their past get in the way?
Can they solve this mysterious disappearance of the women
before more women end up disappearing? What is the common
thread to these cases? I finally figured out who the villain to this book
was in the very end. It totally shocked and amazed me once
I put all the clues together. Mariah Stewart's books are
keepers in my opinion!
