REVIEW

"Exciting yet humorous medieval romance"

King John orders his knight Dominic Dragon to wed either the widow of a treasonous but now dead baron or their daughter. Though he finds the Ayrdale estate quite enticing, Dominic prefers to remain single, but knows he has no options. However, Dominic is surprised to learn that twin daughters exist. One rips his skin for breathing while the other trembles in fear whenever he exhales. Dominic rejects the mother and the termagant as he figures the meek one would be more malleable and cause the least trouble.

However, Rose tricks Dominic into marrying her, the thorny twin because she would do anything for her sibling Starla, who prefers life in a nunnery. Besides wedding the wild one, Dominic has other troubles to contend with would destroy a lesser person with expectations of unreasonable levels of loyalty by King John and problems with his mistress and her uncle, but the worse problem for THE DRAGON LORD is he now loves his tricky spouse.

THE DARGON LORD is an exciting yet humorous medieval romance. The story line is four points taut due to external machinations and six points amusement as Rose always seems to best Dominic who changes from frustration to winks at her actions. New York Times best-selling author Connie Mason shows why she is so highly regarded by fans and reviewers with this robust historical romance that freshens up the overused John scenario with the shrew taming the dragon.

Summary

Renowned for his prowess on the battlefield and in the bedroom, the Dragon Lord has no desire to wed an heiress he has never seen, but he has little choice. When given the option of the three Ayrdale women, he has no taste for the grieving widow or the sharp-tongued shrew, so the meek virgin it must be. High-spirited Rose knows she is no thornless blossom waiting to be plucked. Her gentle twin longs for a cloistered life, whereas Rose has never been known as a shrinking violet and is more than capable of standing up to a dragon. A clever deception will allow her sister to enter a nunnery while an unexpected bride awaits her unsuspecting husband for the most unforgettable deflowering of all.
