"Exhilarating love story"
Killian Abbott, head of the Abbott family's fashion
conglomerate, loved his wife Cordelia until Paris when he
found his long time rival Brian Girard, son of the CEO of
the November Corporation, in her room. He knows at those
rare times when his ire abates that he still loves his
spouse, but will never forgive her. Thus he is divorcing
Cordie. Cordie is desperate because she loves her husband. She
made one mistake, but not what Killian thinks. Now she is
tossing a Hail Mary to try to regain what they lost
because Killian failed to trust her, but the ever
optimistic Cordie will not accept failure. Her last
chance is the baby she carries that she informs her spouse
she is carrying which she learned about through a physical
she has taken to obtain a job with his company. If he
still goes ahead and divorces her, Cordie will still have
their child to love and nurture. Though Brian's father is something else with his do or die
rivalry (even upset that his son survived a near tragedy),
readers will appreciate this second chance at love due to
the upbeat antics of the intrepid wonderful Cordie.
Killian is an interesting protagonist who acts at times
like a four star general except when Cordie leaves him
unable to speak. Though the extended Abbott crowd
requires a scorecard to keep track of who's who, this tale
belongs to the lead couple whom the audience will want to
see Killian grovel to keep the sunshine in his life. Harriet Klausner

SummaryKillian Abbott, head of the Abbott family's fashion
conglomerate, feels his blood boil at the mere mention of
his wife's name. He fell under Cordie's spell, entranced
by the cloud of fiery hair and that creamy skin, but when
he found her with another man, it was like being doused
with a bucket of cold water.
Desperate to rekindle Killian's passion, Cordie
impetuously hatches a plot. The baby she's carrying will
lure him back to her the way nothing else can. Her daring
scheme appears to be working when he invades her Manhattan
apartment and carries her off to his Long Island home.
Once they're alone, victory should be just a kiss away.
Except, some things never go according to plan....
