"A smashing hit!"
New York Bounty hunter Hannah McGee loves fellow colleague Chad
Hogan with all her heart but instead of giving her the
engagement ring she is hoping for, Chad presents her with
the keys to an Alfa Romeo on her thirtieth birthday. When
it becomes clear that Chad isn't thinking in terms of a
future together, Hannah is heartbroken. Chad walks out of
her life without a trace. Now, fifteen months later,
Hannah walks into the offices of Blackstone Bail and Bond
on what is supposed to be her last day as a bounty hunter.
Tomorrow she opens the doors to Seekers, her new
investigation company. Expecting her final paycheck before
saying goodbye to her boss, Hannah finds herself face to
face with the one person she never thought she'd see
again. She finds herself agreeing to one last case for
Blackstone Bail and Bond because the commission is too good
to pass up. However, she has two questions uppermost in
her mind as she sets out with Chad to find the two bail
jumpers. How does she deal with Chad Hogan and her
feelings for him? What will happen when Chad finds out
about Bonnie -- his eight-month old daughter? Chad Hogan grabs the chance to come back to New York with
the excuse of another job, just so he can apologize to
Hannah for walking out on her fifteen months ago. The last
thing he's prepared for is coming face to face with an
adorable and simply delightful imp who just happens to be
his eight-month old daughter -- one he never knew existed.
Suddenly everything's changed. Even his feelings for
Hannah are different. However, happiness is still as
elusive as ever for in his heart, Chad carries the guilt of
not being able to take care of his late wife and infant
son. What guarantee is there that he can be a good father
the second time around when he failed to miserably the
first time? Can Hannah and Bonnie break down the fortress
Chad has built around his aching heart? The excellently talented duo, Lori and Tony Karayianni who
write under the pseudonym of Tori Carrington have delivered
another fantastic romance. This awesome duo usually writes
for Harlequin Temptation. JUST EIGHT MONTHS OLD is their
first foray into the Silhouette Special Edition line and
what a smashing hit it is! JUST EIGHT MONTHS OLD is a memorable tale with beautifully
drawn characters whose experiences are extraordinary for
the depth of emotion with which they are portrayed. The
tension and suspense remain high throughout the story,
punctuated by the totally engrossing plot and heart
wrenching emotions of the characters. Tory Carrington is
definitely one of those authors whose talent has grown over
the years and that same talent has truly blossomed in JUST
EIGHT MONTHS OLD. Full of fast paced action and plenty of sexual tension,
JUST EIGHT MONTHS OLD is simply an excellent read with
characters to capture the heart and imagination. It's one
for the keeper's shelf and definitely not a romance to be
missed!
