"Will send chills down your spine!"
Setting: Pedraza, Spain In the sixteenth century, Isabel de Warren married Alvarado
de la Barca but was disastrously wronged by the men she
trusted. She has waited for the day she could exact her
revenge on the families who betrayed her and that day is
finally here. Beautiful Tracey Tennant has always attracted men like
honey attracts bees. Spoilt, self-centered, and an
alcoholic, she lives a pampered life, taking a lot for
granted -- until she realizes she's truly fallen in love
with her current boyfriend, Antonio de la Barca. However,
he doesn't return her feelings and is planning to leave
her. Tracey will do anything to stop that from happening. Cassandra de Warren can never compete with her sister,
Tracey, when it comes to good looks. She lives with her
Aunt Catherine in their ancestral home in Sussex, looking
after Tracey's daughter, Aylssa and writing historical
novels. Her quiet life is suddenly thrown into chaos when
Tracey decides to take Alyssa away in order to try and
please her boyfriend. Antonio is vacationing at the ancestral home of the de la
Barcas family in Pedraza, Spain, with his son Eduardo when
Tracey descends upon them with Alyssa and Cassandra. Not
long after that, Catherine and Antonio's brother, Gregory,
arrive at the house also. The two families are together
under one roof, right where Isabel's spirit wants them....
so that she can finally have her revenge. Brenda Joyce's HOUSE OF DREAMS is an excellently penned
novel that will certainly send chills down your spine! I don't really like to read scary books - and this is
definitely a scary book!! - but Brenda Joyce has crafted an
intriguing story within the pages of HOUSE OF DREAMS that
quickly grabs a hold and refuses to let go until the last
page. Although I wouldn't classify this novel as a
romance, it still holds a lot of the same ingredients. Ms.
Joyce has beautifully displayed her exquisite talent for
weaving a spellbinding adventure full of fear and pulse-
pounding suspense. For an unforgettably chilling highly fascinating read, I
highly recommend HOUSE OF DREAMS.
