"The desert heats up when Emma shows up."
When Prince Reyhan's father decided it was time for him to
get married, it was time for Reyhan to come clean. He
already has a wife! In order for Reyhan to get a divorce,
he has to have his father's approval, but the king wants to
meet this mysterious wife that Reyhan neglected to bring
home. Emma Kennedy made an impulsive decision six years ago when
she was in college. What she didn't know was the man she
married was a prince and a bigger surprise is that she is
still married to him. Now the king wants to get to know
her and she is spending two weeks in Bahania before he will
grant her a divorce. As much as Reyhan wants to stay away from Emma, his body
calls to be with her. Reyhan wants Emma with such
intensity, that he is afraid that loving her will be the
destruction of him. But fighting the beautiful woman she
has become is much harder than he anticipated. Will he
realize that Emma is the woman he was meant to always be
with? Getting a divorce and returning back to her normal life is
all Emma wants to do. But the more time she spends in the
company of Reyhan, the more her body longs to feel things
she never felt during her short time with him. Not to
mention all the unanswered questions she has about what
happened to their relationship. Will time give her the
answers she's looking for? Susan Mallery has written another wonderful story in the
Desert Rogues series. We do get to see some of the
characters from her previous books, and yes the palace is
still filled with the king's beloved cats. The story is
very passionate and I was immediately entranced by how much
Reyhan was fighting his feelings for Emma. And poor Emma
was really left in the dark about so much of her life; it
goes to show that sometimes an overprotective family could
hurt more than help. Susan Mallery has always been a
favorite of mine and she definitely doesn't disappoint with
this passionate desert tale.
