"THE INDISCRETION"
Lady Lydia Bedford-Browne escapes the confines of
her restricted life by taking a public coach to her maid's
wedding three hours from her home. On the return trip she
finds herself with fellow traveler, Sam Cody. Lady Lydia
has mixed emotions -- she is enthralled and excited but
also
dismayed to meet the handsome and disreputable cowboy.
Because of a drunken coach driver, frightened horses and
bogs on the moor, the Lady and the Texan are lost in the
wilderness. Who better to have as her companion than Sam
who is versed in the art of survival?
Is this a romantic set up for a book or what? The
attraction grows between the unlikely couple. They
somewhat reluctantly return to civilization. Sam wishes to
pursue the romance but Lydia knows her family would never
accept a cow-herder who wears red cowboy boots and is not
anything like an English gentleman. But perhaps Sam and
fate have other ideas....
Whether you call her Judith Ivory or Judy Cuevas,
this talented author always produces fascinating books. She
writes beautifully with panache and poetry to delight her
readers. My advice to you is to run, don't walk, to
purchase her latest offering. The romance is hot and the
hero is to die for. The heroine changes from up tight to
feisty knowing what (and who) she really wants. Emotions
between the pair are electric giving the reader a most
satisfactory read. If you enjoy character driven stories,
THE INDISCRETION is the book for you. This one goes on my
keeper shelf. Reviewed by Marilyn Heyman, June 25, 2001
