"Delightful addition to this mystery series."
Somehow, Benni Harper always ends up stumbling over a
mystery, a murder or both. Neither her husband, nor
Detective Hudson, is ecstatic about this situation. Benni thinks that working to help out a young married
couple on their recreational dude ranch could be anything
but tiring. What with the husband-half of the young couple
constantly marking his claim to his wife's family property
and the arrival of Benni's seductive and lazy cousin, Benni
spends more time cooling people off and doing their jobs
for them than looking to stick her nose into a mystery.
However, when one of the ranch dogs finds a bone that
belongs to a human corpse, murder and mystery come calling
straight to Benni. Written with a light bantering style, BROKEN DISHES makes
one want to read all of the other Benni Harper Mysteries
just to see what different kinds of situations this woman
gets into...and how she gets herself out of them.
