"The matchmaker's apprentice hits again"
The Matchmaker's Sister Miranda Danville has always been the organized, dependent,
level headed of the four siblings. Left to help raise her
siblings while her parents were off helping those less
fortunate, Miranda became the mother figure that the others
were missing. So having a family of her own was the least
thing Miranda was looking for. After the death of his wife, Nate Shepard has returned to
Newport with his children to give them some normalcy.
Returning to his childhood home and opening a new
coffeehouse is just what they need to bring them closer
together. Or so he thinks. The oldest set of Nate's twins, Will and Cate know that
dad's work-together project is sure to put a damper on
their summer. And the younger twins Kali and Kori will
agree to whatever their older siblings want just so they
can have fun. So what better way to get their dad off of
their case than by finding someone to keep him occupied.
That's where they agree that IF Enterprises and Ainsley
Danville's help could save their summer. Unbeknownst to Miranda and Nate, the meetings that they
keep having are actually Ainsley's introduction to
possibilities. Nate needs some desperate help in order to
get the coffee house together in time to open. Not to
mention that his mother dropped the bomb that she is going
to Florida and wants the landscaping redone at the house.
What better person to help than Miranda. Miranda doesn't
mind either, the coffee house has tons of potential and
landscaping design is her job. With enough lists and
organization she should be able to handle both projects
along with the planning of her sister's wedding. What she
doesn't expect is the attraction that is pulling her and
Nate together to get her so distracted from it all. Will
Nate be able to convince Miranda to take a chance on him
and his family? Ms. Whittenburg has wowed us again with another great story
to for the Matchmaker, Matchmaker series. THE MATCHMAKER'S
SISTER is a delightful story that lets us revisit with the
Danville family while we watch Miranda and Nate stumble
through their attraction to each other. Nate's children
add a great twist to helping these two get together. The
story is lighthearted, funny and packed with plenty of
desire to keep you turning the pages. I'm looking forward
to the next book in the series, THE MATCHMAKER'S PLAN,
coming in April of 2004.
