"The perfect book to read for April Fool's Day!"
These stories were all based around April Fools Day
and the jokers who enjoy playing April Fools pranks. I
laughed myself silly with these three fabulous stories! Vicki Lewis Thompson's story Fooling Around
tells us about three friends who like to break out of their
comfort zones every once in a while and what better day to
do that than April Fool's day? Each of the women writes a
silly fantasy for the other. This one is Lena's story.
She's had the hots for Andre Dumont, top salesman for her
company so her April Fool will entail a date with him. The
problem is right before their first date she finds out she
will be his boss. This may pose a huge problem or will it? Nobody's Fool by Stephanie Bond is the story
of Kate Randall who has worked her way to the top of her
field at Handley Toys and now she's achieved her goal but
soon she will be Eric McDaniels' boss. She and Eric had a
one night fling at a trade show a long time ago and she
knew right then and there it was a big mistake so why can't
she get over him? Now Eric, the company prankster,
challenges Kate to go on the road with him. Kate
reluctantly agrees so what will this mean to them and to
the company? The last story is Fools Rush In by Judith
Arnold. This one pairs Mark Lavin, manager of a radio
station and Claire O'Conner who works at the Landmarks
Commission in a surprise engagement. It seems that DeeJay
Rex Crandall decides to get Mark and Claire back for
supposedly wronging him in the past. Now they have to work
damage control to both their reputations but while they are
doing that, they seem to notice sparks every time they are
together. I can't decide which of these delightful stories I
enjoyed more. I also hope that Vicki Lewis Thompson will
see fit to give us Lena's April Fools friends their stories
as well. I highly recommend this wonderful anthology!
