REVIEW

"Intriguing to the max!"

I have followed Jacqueline Diamond's Harlequin career through the many lines she's written for with avid interest as she always gives a satisfying read. As I'm a fan of the Harlequin Intrigue line I was anxious to read this book. It was every bit as good as I believed it would be.

Someone is cyber-stalking Jenny Sanger by putting her pictures from her modeling days on the Net and then going into chats and propositioning men. That's where Sheikh Fario Adran supposedly meets Jenny and gets her address. He decides to meet her but something goes horribly wrong and he's shot at her front door. His half brother Sheikh Zahad Adran travels to the small California town where Jenny lives to figure out exactly what happened and if it was someone who wanted to assassinate Fario.

Everyone treats Zahad with suspicion but Jenny knows instinctively that he is a man to be trusted. Still who was the intended victim, Jenny, Fario or someone else? That's what Zahad needs to get to the bottom of before it's too late.

I avidly devoured this book in anticipation of knowing just who or what the evil one was in this book. Needless to say when I got to the last chapter, I was totally surprised at who the villain was. Jacqueline Diamond sprinkled this book with many red herrings which totally confused me but that is what I believe a good mystery is all about. I hope she will write many more Intrigues as I will be looking forward to them.
