"An old spark ignites their summer."
When A.J. Cavanaugh calls and states his request, neither
his step-daughter, Anne Fraser nor his grandson, Will
Cavanaugh can say no to him. After losing his wife to
cancer, A.J. vows to keep the one promise to her that he
kept putting off. He is going to take the trip to the east
coast that she always wanted to and let her ashes go with
the breeze of the Atlantic Ocean. But to do so, he needs
someone to run The Silver Rose Guest Ranch in his absence. Anne Fraser has been working hard to climb the corporate
ladder at her company, striving for a big promotion. Not
to mention struggling to raise and keep healthy her
asthmatic eight year old daughter. But turning away from
A.J.'s request is something she can't do, especially since
she lives with the guilt of not being there for her mother
when she was ill or A.J. when her mother passed away. So
she is taking a three month leave from her job, packing up
her daughter and heading back to Nevada. For Will Cavanaugh, his time off is much easier to
acquire. After taking a bad fall off a bull during his
last ride, the doctors have ordered Will to take time off
or end up dead. Will's not happy about taking time off
from the bull riding circuit, but three months of healing
should help him get the clearance he needs from the
doctor. But Will and Anne are in for an even bigger surprise. The
attraction that neither of them ever acted on when they
were teenagers is still just as strong now as it was then.
Anne's already had one bad marriage and her career is her
main focus. Will is trying to fulfill a dream that really
isn't his. Both are using their careers as an excuse to
avoid commitment, but the attraction they feel is too much
to keep them apart. What will happen when their three
months are up and they are both free to go back to their
normal lives? Ms. Salonen has written an intriguing story that pulls you
in and keeps you enthralled until the very last page. The
struggles that both Will and Anne face about their careers
and their feelings, along with little Zoey's health
problems, makes this an emotional story that touches your
heart. With the love and laughter through out, A COWBOY
SUMMER is a must read for any romance lover.

SummarySingle mom Anne Fraser has sacrificed plenty to get ahead
in the world of corporate hotel management. Just ask her
eight-year-old daughter, Zoey. When her stepfather asks
Anne to fill her late mother's shoes at the Silver Rose
Guest Ranch, Anne can't say no. Even if the job includes
sharing the reins with the man whose kiss she's never
forgotten.
Will Cavanaugh planned to be the top bull rider in the
country. He's come close in his fifteen-year career but
now an injury has him sidelined for the summer. He answers
his grandfather's plea for help, but soon realizes he's
facing a new dilemma. Could one summer with Anne and her
daughter possibly be enough? Or is it just the beginning?
Battered and a bit disillusioned by life, Will and Anne
return to the Silver Rose to repay old debts. To fall in
love again. But, just for the summer.
Or, maybe...for a lifetime.
