REVIEW

"A sexy short story"

This was a cute story about finding love in unlikely places.

Shell Anderson was a concert cellist with the local symphony whose world revolved around her music. She longed to find a man whom she could have a meaningful relationship with but unfortunately, her history was far from stellar. She had a tendency to go only for the beautiful men, who in her experience, had all turned out to be not so beautiful inside. Cade Ryan's life had come crashing down on him when his wife filed for divorce. He had pretty much withdrawn into himself. Not caring about his appearance or what was going on around him. When he and Shell meet, sparks fly, but not of the attraction kind... at first. Then something happens and Shell realizes that underneath his nerdy exterior, maybe there is a prince just trying to break free. Is there enough between the two of them on which to build a permanent relationship?

Shell had pretty much given up on finding what she needed and Cade had become so disillusioned because of the split with his wife, that he didn't know quite what he wanted. When the two first meet in argument over their choices of music, it's evident that there are sparks there that have nothing to do with their disagreement, even though both are in denial. They are both wounded-in-love parties and were surprised they were each other's cure. The reader will see the by-play between them, and their resultant imaginings about each other and feel their mutual attraction. There is also more than enough sexual tension to entice and leave one begging for more. When Cade makes his transformation from nerd to prince, one will gasp in surprise right along with Shell. These two characters were made for each other. It is enjoyable to watch their progression from enemies, to friends, to lovers, to happy- ever-after. Overall, this is a pleasant short read for when there is not a lot of free time.
