REVIEW

"A wonderful book that brought tears to my eyes!"

I've been an avid fan of Tori Carrington's since the very first book and I have to say they've never disappointed in the least! This one is no exception!

Dusty Conrad is back in Old Orchard, Ohio to once and for all put closure to his brother, Erick's death and his marriage so he can move on. He cannot believe the memories that kick him in the teeth as he drives down the main street of Old Orchard. Then when he pulls into the Fire Station and sees Jolie, his estranged wife after being gone for six months, he is assailed with memories of their marriage and his subsequent escape from it all.

Dusty just cannot get past the fact that Erick died and he couldn't do anything about it. He, Erick and his wife, Jolie were all firefighters. Jolie was seriously injured in the same fire that killed Erick. Dusty tried to get Jolie to quit firefighting all together so she would stay safe but she wouldn't have any part of it. Her parents died in a fire and that's one of the main reasons she wanted to become a firefighter in the first place. The longer Dusty stays in Old Orchard, the harder it will be for him to finally break ties. There's no way he can lose Jolie to a fire like he did Erick. It would just about kill him so he thinks he'll be better off just leaving. Will he ever convince Jolie to sign those divorce papers to free him once and for all?

This book captivated me to the point where I read it in a matter of hours. I have come to believe that Tori Carrington will always provide a good read and I've yet to be proven wrong!
