"A to-die-for SEAL and an ambassador! What more can you ask?"
After Samantha Barnes' husband dies in a car accident, she
takes over as Ambassador to Delmonico. She believes she can
make a difference but when someone tries to assassinate
her, she has to be protected at all costs. Marcus Evans, U. S. Navy SEAL is assigned the job
of protecting Samantha even with his life if necessary.
Jerry Baxter gives him the specifics of the job and tells
him to take Samantha to a safe house until they can figure
out if there's a leak somewhere in one of the departments
or what. He also gives Marcus a laptop and tells him to go
to a certain webpage with a silly game on it and if
anything changes, that's how he'll know. Marcus decides that the safe house may not be so
safe so he contacts a fellow SEAL and gets permission to go
to his remote cabin to keep Samantha safe. What Marcus
doesn't know is that he's part of group of children who
were genetically altered before birth. He may be his own
worst enemy but will he find out before it's too late for
him and for Samantha? Meanwhile he and Samantha become closer and closer
even though they fight their attraction tooth and nail.
They really aren't meant to be or are they? Virginia Kantra writes an intriguing tale that I
found hard to put down once I started reading it. I now
want to find the rest of the books in this series so I can
read more about the siblings. I am a big fan of Virginia
Kantra's and this book is one of the many reasons why!
