"A wonderful book!"
Zack Gage is a wonderful and devoted father to his little
girl Dani, but he feels she needs a mother who can teach
her the female stuff. He has it in his mind to look for a
small, feminine woman who will be the perfect role model
for his daughter. When Wynne moved in next door she is the
complete opposite of what he has in mind. She is almost as
tall as he is, solidly built and no shrinking violet. Plus
she seems to have an abundance of male friends. Working in her brothers' gym, Wynne is used to having a
friendly camaraderie with the guys. That changes when she
meets her new neighbors and she finds she wants to be more
then friends with Zack. She has no intention of changing
herself for any man, but she is hoping that his sexual
interest in her would turn into so much more.
Things don't get any easier for her when her parents move
in with her until they find a new place. Treat Her Right is the second in Lori Foster's Men to the
Rescue series and I enjoyed this as much as the first in
the series Caught in The Act. I liked seeing Zack's
preconceived notions of the right woman go out the window
after meeting Wynne. He turns from a calm, reasonable man
into a caveman before the eyes of his friends and her
family. His daughter is so adorable and very believable
that I had to chuckle during one scene when Zack is telling
his friends, Josh and Mick, why he is looking for a wife. Wynne's family is hilarious and I had to chuckle, yet
again, when she describes her father as a "flaming hetero"
and it fits him. Her mother is a hippie who still manages
to turn her husband on. There is a cute scene when her
father is staring at her Mom and getting the gleam in his
eyes. It was nice to see that even though they were
married with a daughter in her late 20's that the fire
hadn't died down in their marriage. I urge you to read Treat Her Right as I believe it is Lori
Foster at her best. Don't read it in a public place if you
don't want people to see you chuckling out loud. It also
sets Josh's story up nicely. I can't wait to read about
Josh and his debutante. Barb Hicks
