REVIEW

"Sensual Erotic Mystery"

Blythe has to wrong a right, but before she can do that she is killed. Leaving a cryptic message with Selia. Now it's up to the ladies of Maison D'Estelle to solve the mystery and in the process right the wrong Blythe left undone.

Selia goes to Estelle with the cryptic message and they go through Blythe's belongings to find clues. What they find is a baby girl left in the charge of an old woman. Estelle gives permission for the baby to stay at Maison D'Estelle until Blythe's family can be found. Estelle enlists help from her lover Colonel James Goodwin, who is with the Military Provost General's office.

A man shows up right after Blythe's death claiming he was a customer of hers, but no one can find a record of it and he doesn't look the sort of man that would be welcome in Maison D'Esttelle. Then another man shows up claiming to be Blythe's brother. Only when questioned by Selia regarding Blythe, he gives all the wrong answers and Selia lies to him when he asks about the baby. There was no way this man was Blythe's brother.

Set in the time of the civil war in Washington D. C. these stories give us rare glimpses into the lives of the women and men of that era. This is not only a mystery story, it is also a story of love found and how the Women of Maison D'Estelle handled the times.

In Book II we find Estelle and the Colonel still madly in love and waiting for the war to end, so they can begin a new life together. Selia has found love with William and the erotic love scenes are hot with a capital "H".

This second book is a welcome read after the wonderful first book in this series. I can't wait to read the next one. I am sure you will feel the same after reading this one.
