"Humorous, sexy and a delightful read!"
I've just discovered a new star of western romance
and her name is Delores Fossen. Her book SADDLED is
humorous, sexy and altogether a delightful read. I highly
recommend this debut book. I'm certain it will not
disappoint. Abilene "Abbie" Donegan is her father's only
legitimate child and heir. Her father was quite prolific
during his long life and had lots of illegitimate
children. Now that he's deceased, Abbie, being the oldest,
feels like she is responsible for all of her father's
children. So she scouts around and like a brood hen,
gathers all of her father's illegitimate children to her so
she can do right by them. It's just amazing how many
illegitimate children her father actually has. Abbie is
also headstrong, stubborn and extremely bossy. She meets
her match when she propositions Rio McCaine with a deal he
just can't refuse. She just doesn't let him in on a few
minor details. Rio is also headstrong, stubborn and extremely
bossy. He is quite intrigued by Abbie from the first
moment he lays eyes on her and butts heads with her. He
finds the longer he gets to know Abbie the more stubborn
and the bossier she gets. She's definitely met her match
with Rio! When Abbie comes to Rio with a way for him to
save his family ranch from his brother's wasteful hands and
get it back into Rio's name so he can make something of it,
there's no way Rio can tell Abbie no. He just has to do a
couple of minor things for Abbie. Rio knows all about being
illegitimate since he was illegitimate himself. When Rio
finds out about all the lies Abbie has told, he's none too
happy with her but surely things will work out in the end. I absolutely howled with laughter throughout this
whole book. Some of the scrapes that Abbie gets into are
just too much but what's even funnier is how she gets out
of these same scrapes. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every
page and eagerly look forward to more of Delores Fossen's
books.
