Sexual equality takes on a whole new meaning in this spicy offering from debut author Ravyn Wilde. Hot sex scenes and delicate world-building make for a wild ride as Nyssa, an Earth woman, and Tar, the Ruler of Zylar, find their way to their inevitable happiness. Though more sexually explicit than emotionally charged, ZYLAN CAPTIVE is carefully crafted and delves neatly into the power struggles that men and women have fought for ages. Evil plots are defeated and ancient ways of life reworked -- with lots of sex. In fact, though there is a plot lurking in the depths of this book, the near-constant sexual interaction of the main characters almost blurs the crucially important scenes. Almost, but not quite. There is, thankfully, enough intrigue and wonder in the story to keep interest from flagging between the explicit encounters. Also, the tales of Zylar are not complete, for ZYLAN CAPTIVE is only book one of Wilde's new series, ZYLAR'S MOONS.

Summary

She is an Earthling who has mysteriously been transported to another galaxy, to another planet. Zylar is nothing like she has ever imagined. And yet, here she is—and apparently life-mated to Tar. If he knows what's good for him, he'll start doing some explaining: What are these gold chains that are attached to certain...um...delicate parts of her body and, just what in the hell is happening to her? She's starting to change...

He is Tar, ruler of Zylar. He has found his life-companion and he's not about to let her go. He is going to enjoy instructing her in her new duties—duties she'll perform as a traditional Zylan woman. She isn't stupid so it shouldn't take long at all for her to learn to be submissive and to do whatever he says, when he says it. After all, Earth women aren't that hard to tame. Ah, life is good!
