Earth-Born Lordis a short story from the Kegin Series. Justin Hayes is an Earth-born re-bred who gained a noble title through some noble Kegin roots of his. Now it is time for him to do what he was bred for and find a bride to reproduce with. Of all the women he met in the Breeding Office, he knew the first moment of meeting Renna that she was the one for him.

Now with the marriage contract sealed, the two are on their way to Justin's estate. Justin is full of desire for his new bride, but knows that it would be wrong to take her to a common inn. Renna sees the desire in her husband's eyes and feels just as strongly. Will Justin be able to control his desire for his new bride or will her desire to conceive on their first day of marriage have him lose what control he has left?

Playing Games gives us a taste of the Night Warriors Series. Officer Denise Roberts was just as confused as the rest of the police force with this case. Denise had a special way of figuring things out. So now she has to find out why these woman are being left in front of hospitals confused and hypo-anemic, with a puncture mark over a major artery that no one can explain.

Polero has been watching Denise for sometime. He knows that she will bring something unique to the game that Jorg has forced him to play. The fun part is going to be getting Denise to want him willingly. But to lure her in, he will have to reveal a bit about himself and the beast that she searches for. Will Denise fall into the trap like all the other victims? Or is this something she is walking into with eyes wide open?

Stealing Innocence is another short story from the Night Warriors Series. Going to the nightclub was nothing new for Lorian, but tonight he craved a different type of woman. When he saw Haylie, he knew she was the one he was searching for. She was full of life with a touch of innocence. Something Lorian has not tasted in a long time.

Haylie couldn't believe she let her friend talk her into wearing this stupid outfit and coming to the club. But when the sexy hunk whisks her away, she sure is glad. Haylie don't mind playing the "vampire" game, especially since Lorian is doing such erotic things to her body. But what will happen when Haylie realizes that this is no game and Lorian is a true vampire?

Unfortunately I did not enjoy this collection of stories. I felt as if they were missing something that would have helped me understand the overall story better. It was as if I was reading a chapter from a book, not a short story. It could be because I haven't read any of the Kegin or Night Warrior Series that these stories are related to. My recommendation is to read the books that come before these short stories to gain a better understanding of the overall plot. If you already read books from the series, then you may really enjoy this collection of stories.
