"Delightful matchmaking story."
Georgianna Thomasina Beverly...how do you describe an
almost 20-year-old imp? Indulged granddaughter of Lord
Tivington, she's had freedoms seldom given to young ladies
of her status. And she's an authoress. Now, wouldn't most
eligible bachelors think she was a bluestocking? Well,
maybe she is, but she must have her long-overdue season
soon. Actually, she's about three years too late, but most
mistake her for a young girl, which she's used to her
advantage on several occasions. Even so, Georgi has no
desire to be an airhead like her cousin Cassie. Lord Everhart is wondering why he came to settle this
estate he's inherited. It does seem a nice break from all
the marriage-minded young ladies and their overbearing
mamas trying to trap him into a proposal he isn't ready
for. Oh, he knows he'll have to take that plunge someday,
but it will be on his own terms with his pick of a bride
rather than someone else's choice. Now, what's he going to
do about these feelings he's developing for Georgi? She's
just a child. He'll have to get over them before someone
accuses him of robbing the cradle. Cagey Lord Tivington is doing his best to see his
granddaughters and grandson settled as happily as possible.
And he makes no bones about being extra cautious with his
Georgi. Can he truly do what's best for all oncerned? Ms. Savery has done a good job of weaving this matchmaking
story together. The characters are colorful and delightful.
You'll enjoy meeting each and every one of them.
