"trying to find the truth awakens many things."
Devin Rourke is on a mission. He knows his best friend
Aaron was murdered; he just has to prove it. So to help
him find the murderer, he is going to use the one person he
thinks is connected and has the answers, the widow of John
Briggs. Ana Briggs has been a widow for a while and it is time for
her to come out of her repressed state. Taking Devin
Rourke into the Siskiyous may just be a job, but she might
also find her sexuality too by using him. Devin makes
Ana's body feel things it has never felt before and that's
without him even touching her. When the demons of Devin's past rear it's ugly head in his
dreams, Ana comes to comfort him with more than soothing
words. Even though Devin has had her body, he still can't
give her his trust. When Ana finds out the reason is
because he believes that her late husband was the one to
kill his best friend, she is just as determined to find out
the truth. But the lack of trust between the two hasn't
stopped them from exploring each other's bodies. And when
they get shot at, it gives them more than looking for the
truth to do; they have to figure out how to stay alive. Will Devin and Ana find out the truth and make it out of
the mountains alive? This was a riveting tale with plenty of suspense and sexual
awakenings. I was surprised to see the two still explore
each other and still distrust each other so much. I wanted
to find out the truth just as bad as Devin and Ana that I
couldn't put the book down until I did.
