REVIEW

"Fans have finally gotten Patrick's entertaining story."

Madelyn Phillips has finally made it to Scotland. She's been wanting to make this trip for a long time. She just wishes the situation was better. This was supposed to be her honeymoon, but a few weeks ago, her fiancé broke off the engagement. She then got fired from her job. So, this is the last trip she can afford for a very long time.

When Madelyn drives to the inn where she'll be staying, "Mr. Black Sportscar" passes her and ends up in the ditch. She finds out later that he's Patrick MacLeod. Then, when she arrives at the inn, she gets a nasty surprise - her former fiancé, Bentley Douglas Taylor III, has taken the room reserved for her. Bentley has decided he wants Madelyn back and is willing to pull every dirty trick on her that he can. Of course, Patrick just has to come to the lovely lady's rescue.

What a wonderful story! Ms. Kurland's fans have been waiting for this one since they met Patrick in A DANCE THROUGH TIME. Patrick, the first MacLeod to discover the secret of time-travel through the Scottish forest next to the family keep, finally finds his true love in Madelyn. Add in a ghostly piper showing up to serenade the couple with the little mix-up in time, and you'll be thoroughly entertained and amused.

Summary

Patrick MacLeod is haunted by his past, by events he had no control over and wishes desperately he could change. He hasn't the heart for love, nor the time for rescuing maidens in distress of their own making . . . until he sees a woman who touches his heart and stirs his soul . . . and makes him believe love might be possible after all.

For Madelyn Phillips, Scotland is the land of dreams, filled with magic, romance, and handsome Highland lords. Unfortunately, the reality of her dream vacation is no car, no luggage, and a pesky ex-fiancé determined to shadow her every move. She thinks her dreams are in vain . . . until she sees a man standing on a windswept moor, a Highlander full of secrets and longing, and Madelyn knows she has seen her destiny.

But the past isn't through with either of them, and it will take all the love each possesses to make their dreams come true . . .
