"..the tycoon gets to see life in a whole new light..."
Kristy Neumeyer doesn't understand why Conner Templeton
won't take "no" for an answer. She is determined to
restore
Paradise Resort back to its former glory. Even with the 5
million dollars that Connor and his partner, Skip, are
offering for the ocean front property, her answer is still
a firm NO. The money would clear all of the debt that
Kristy has. Something her late husband was unable to do
for her and the twins. But Kristy is determined to show
her family that she has what it takes to run a successful
resort instead of being a doctor like they want. The
resort isn't Kristy's only problem though, she has a
neighbor who is trying to make her life miserable and
worst of all, the girls are having trouble dealing with the
death of their father. Connor Templeton knows he should not mix business with
pleasure. He didn't become a wealthy tycoon by letting the
lines cross. But the beautiful widowed mother that he is
trying to convince to sell the ocean front property has him
blurring those lines. Her determination to restore the run
down resort and the sexual pull he feels for her has him
giving her a helping hand. Working side by side with her
for a week shows him the passion she feels for the resort
and the love she has for her girls. Helping Kristy with
restoring the resort, the girls, and her bothersome
neighbor has him opening his eyes to so many things and
makes him rethink some of the paths he has taken in his
life. Both Kristy and Connor have been hurt in the past. Can
both of them learn to trust each other and find love? Will
all of the hard work that Kristy is doing to the resort pay
off? How is she going to show her twins that it is time to
move on and that their dad won't be back? Will everything
work out best for all of them? I really enjoyed this story. It had everything, love,
family, heartache, betrayal, and striving for new
beginnings. I thought it was great that Connor went in to
convince and ended up working to help Kristy, even though
he was still planning on buying her out. I thought that
Kristy dealt with her girls very well. Losing a parent is
something hard. This story made me laugh and cry. It had
me rooting for Kristy all the way! If anyone is looking
for a well-rounded romance, this is a must read.
