"Caught In The Act"
Mick Dawson, last seen in BEGUILED, is sitting in the booth
of his favorite restaurant with his two best friends Zach
and Josh, when he sees his fantasy woman. He has been
seeing her jog by the restaurant the last couple of weeks.
When he sees her go into the jewelery store across the
street, he decides to finally introduce himself. Delilah Piper is in the store to do research for her latest
mystery novel, when she sees a guy who has seemingly come
out of one of her books. He is dark, sexy and intimidating.
When the jewelery store is robbed, she soon finds herself
underneath him while he protects her when the robbers start
firing. Mick wakes up in the hospital and is stunned to find out
his friends made sure she stuck around until he woke up.
He realises that the attraction is mutual. Del takes him
home to nurse him during his recovery. He is determined
to find out why the robbers seemed to be targeting her when
the robbery occurred. Because of his childhood, Mick doesn't trust too many
people, what will happen when evidence surfaces that puts
his trust in Del to the test? Is Del really as innocent as
she seems? Or is she just using him for research? Mick and Del are the perfect foil for each other. Where
trust doesnt come easily for Mick; Del trusts way too much.
Seeing old friends like Dane, Angel, Alec and Celia again
was great. They are more in love then ever and it shows.
When they were discussing the things Del has done in the
way of research I could almost see Mick cringing and the
look of terror in Alec's eyes when he saw the gleam of
interest in Celia. I also enjoyed Mick's friends Josh and
Zack and can't wait for their stories as well. The books we have come to expect from Lori Foster are hot,
sexy and funny, but this one will also touch your heart.
There were a couple of scenes that had me reaching for the
tissue. This is a winner and I know you will love it as
much as I do.

SummaryCOINCIDENCE?
Not.
Mick Dawson, undercover cop.
He's got his hands full with a pushy
broad who claims she's just in the wrong place at the wrong
time. Except all the perps seem to
know
everything there is to know about her. Who're you going to
believe? Only one way to find out. Get
real close.
Lela DeBraye (aka Del Piper), mystery
writer.
She's as confused as he is, but mostly
because he's got the sweetest smile, when he smiles. Still,
he's
sticking with her twenty-four/seven --
is this love or duty? Is he her protector or her captor?
