"Tension-filled from first page to last."
Detective Celeste Bradshaw is from money but she
still wants to make her own way. So when she's assigned to
the Prince Charming rapist's case, she decides to go
undercover. It seems that all of the victims have one tie-
in and that's Dante's Restaurant. Celeste had done some
bartending in college so she's a shoe-in for a job at the
restaurant in the bar. Luc Dante has been trying to live down his juvenile
past all of his life so he and his two best friends from
the old neighborhood decide to open a restaurant and follow
the straight and narrow. Now his restaurant, his pride and
job has been singled out because several rape victims had
been seen in his restaurant before they had been raped. Luc
knows there's no way there can be a tie in but he has to
cooperate with the police even though he doesn't like it
one bit. Celeste doesn't want to be attracted to her
new 'boss' Luc but there's just something about him that
draws her in like a fly to honey. Luc doesn't have the
time or the inclination to fall for a cop like Celeste but
fate has a way of intervening. Can they work together and
find out who the Prince Charming rapist is before he
strikes again? This book had me on the edge of my seat hurriedly
flipping pages until the very last tension filled chapter!
I really liked the way I was kept guessing as to who the
rapist could be until the very climax of the book! I look
forward to reading more suspense from Linda Randall Wisdom!
