Summer Montgomery, code name Renegade, has spent the last five years as a DEA agent. Her current assignment is to pose as a drama teacher at a high school in the Boston area where high-volume drug trafficking has been reported.

Summer is in jeopardy of having her true identity revealed by her involvement with Gabriel Cole, a guest instructor at the same suburban school. Gabriel is a high-profile musician who's very presence insures media attention right where Summer can least afford it.
