"Can a horror writer find true love with a cynical lawman?"

Horror novelist Dana Cummings has traveled to Macon, Wyoming, to visit her aunt Lucille. Aunt Lucille recently moved into an old Victorian house and swears that there are amorous ghosts haunting her basement. Dana isn't sure the ghosts are real, but since she has writer's block, she's willing to come check things out. Unfortunately, things get more interesting than Dana ever expected.

Under-sheriff Brennan Marshall has sworn off romance after two disastrous relationships. He's content with things the way they are. Then he almost arrests Dana for breaking into her aunt's house. Smart-alecky Dana attracts him in a way he hasn't felt in a long time. Will she be able to forgive him for doing his job?

After Dana settles in at her aunt's house, it appears that someone has it in for her. After accidents that are anything but accidental, Brennan vows to protect Dana or die trying. Do these strange attacks have anything to do with Aunt Lucille's ghosts or is a real person behind them?

Brennan and Dana give off sparks throughout MARSHALL'S LAW. Can both of them get beyond their ill-fated romantic pasts to seize the opportunity that faces them now? Although not explicitly sexual, the sexual tension between Dana and Brennan is sizzling. The mystery behind the attacks is revealed and the culprit is a real surprise!
