"Steamy romance"
If it were anyone but his sister-in-law, John Patrick
Mooney, CEO of the Dallas area based J.P. Mooney
Investigative, Ltd. would have laughed it off. The
suggestive email to the staff of Luxurious Bedding, Inc.
seems inane to make inquiries, but Wilhelmina is a
relative. With her company about to launch a major new
line having everyone off kilter is bad timing. John sends
his beloved like a daughter investigative researcher April
Stevens undercover to learn if the innuendo-laden missives
are hiding industrial espionage. April works as an assistant to marketing guru Rex Holt.
She quickly finds that she wants to go under the covers
with Rex, but believes that is only a temporary state since
her hyper state of being drives men away. However, Rex
feels the same way except he plans on permanency so he
launches a marketing campaign to succeed on the most
important endeavor of his life. Though the investigation subplot sits in the last row of
the bleachers, Jeanie London provides a captivating
romantic suspense. The tempo of the story line is set the
moment April meets Rex. Both protagonists are a delight
and belong together BETWEEN THE SHEETS as well as outside
the boudoir. The "villain" is a cute surprising twist that
has this book worming it way into the heart of the audience. Harriet Klausner

Field-testing sexy sheets . . . a fiery and fun undercover
assignment!
SummaryNational Readers' Choice Award
Winner!
The only action April Stevens has been seeing between the
sheets lately is sleep. Not her preference, but since her
inability to relax has proven almost fatal to too many
past lovers, she's given up sex. Fine. Except that her
latest assignment has her going undercover with marketing
hottie, er, genius Rex Holt...field-testing risquéé sheet
sets! As if that's going to keep her mind off
sex...especially when Rex is tempting enough to make her
reconsider that little vow of celibacy.
Between the sexy bed linens and his even sexier assistant
April, Rex's job has gotten interesting. He has sex on the
brain. Conducting personal trial runs on the sheets with
April should clear his...mind. Instead, Rex finds himself
craving even more of herhe just has to convince her
that what they have is more than a bit of fun and
relaxation. Good thing he can sell anything...including
himself.
