Killing Cousins

REVIEW

"Fast-paced, unpredictable, contemporary mystery."

At first, Soraya Navarro didn't think much of seeing the sister of an old childhood friend at her boyfriend's New York club. At least, she didn't until the girl ended up dead of an overdose.

Now, Soraya and Felix Novak, separated for over a decade, are working together to find out what really happened to his sister. Their covert investigation is difficult to manage when they have to duck his father's presumed cowardice, his wealthy grandfather's manipulations, her boyfriend's goons and their own haunted childhoods.

Even for a street-smart college girl and an intelligent country boy, working the fast-paced world of clubs and drugs isn't always easy. It becomes more difficult as they get further entwined in the desires of drug mavens, police detectives, rich old men and one very tenacious reporter.

This book is fast-paced, contemporary and interesting. It stays away from certain predictable areas of the genre to create a detailed story with believable and sympathetic characters.
