"This debut book really rocks!"
There's just something about alpha Greek males that
make me either want to melt in a puddle on the floor or
whack their stubborn heads. Luckily the hero in this book
redeemed himself very nicely! Savannah Marie Kiriakis ran away from her brutal
immoral Greek husband in the middle of the night taking
their two daughters with her. Now Dion is dead in a car
crash and he's taken his cousin Leiandros' wife with him.
There are many secrets that Dion's family doesn't know
about her but there are also secrets that she doesn't know
as well. Dion had told his family so many lies that nobody
knows what the real truth is. Savannah only knows that she
and Leiandros shared a deeply moving kiss shortly after she
and Dion married before Leiandros knew who she was.
Neither she nor Leiandros could ever forget that kiss. Leiandros only knows that he must extract
unwarranted retribution from Savannah because it was her
husband that killed no only his wife but their unborn son.
Leiandros comes up with the perfect plan. He's cut off
Savannah's monthly stipend and forces her to come to Greece
with her two daughters. Savannah needs that stipend to keep
her Aunt Beatrice in the private nursing home in her last
days. Aunt Beatrice took Savannah in when her mother died
and her father abandoned her so it's the least Savannah can
do. So what can Savannah do but capitulate to Leiandros'
demands? Savannah cannot know that Leiandros has much more
in store for her and for her daughters. What will she do
when she finds out exactly how much retribution he actually
wants? I read this book in a matter of a couple of hours.
I was simply fascinated with this story and couldn't wait
to see if and when Leiandros would finally redeem himself.
Lucy Monroe's debut book couldn't have been any better!
