"An enjoyable contemporary romance novel"
After her father's death, Abby St. James goes to New York
City to check up on her father's magazine, Bastion. Her
twin sister Michaela has worked at the magazine in the
past and is currently in Europe while Abby goes to the
magazine. Once there, no one seems to realize that Abby
isn't Michaela, and it seems that no one was fond of her. Stefan Massari has never liked Michaela. She's spoiled
rotten and treats everyone like dirt. She's even gone so
far as to sleep with the help and then fire them when they
displeased her. Ever since her father died, she's been
making bad decisions about the magazine without conferring
with him. Walking into her office, he plans to tell her off
but something seems different about her. He notices she
has a new hairstyle but is too angry to think too much
about it. Before Michaela left for Europe, she made a pass
at him but he turned her down flat. Now that she's back
there's different something about her and he finds himself
attracted to her against his will. Abby has always felt invisible next to her twin sister.
She's not as flamboyant and isn't as experienced with men.
For years now she has had a crush on Stefan but was always
too shy to do anything about it. Now is her chance to act
upon her attraction. The only problem is that Stefan is
furious with Michaela and doesn't even realize Abby's not
her. As time goes on, Abby tries several times to tell him
who she really is but she's afraid to loose him. While staying at her sister's apartment it seems that
Stefan and the staff at Bastion aren't the only ones that
think she's Michaela. Her sister has picked up a stalker
and now he thinks Abby is Michaela. This was an enjoyable and quick read even at 350 pages. I
liked both of the main characters, and the attraction
between them was strong throughout. I stayed up all
night to finish this book and I didn't even realize that
much time had passed. Sexual Content: Hard R.

SummaryDanger . . . Abby St. James knows all about trouble, thanks
to her twin sister Michaela, whose unofficial nickname in
New York society is the Black Widow. Michaela's tastes have
always run to older, wealthy types -- all of whom have
conveniently died, leaving Michaela a very satisfied widow.
Abby is not quite so sophisticated, or so confident about
men, but stepping in to oversee her sister's interests in
men's magazine Bastion seems to be harmless enough. Until
Stefan Massari, Bastion's publisher, mistakes Abby for
Michaela herself -- and Abby wonders if getting the job
done might be easier with her sister's clout . . . and
passion . . . It's a dangerous game, because Stefan and
Michaela have an uneasy history, and Abby is falling for
dark, sexy Stefan -- hard. What's more, although he's
always resented Michaela's interference at the magazine,
Stefan is falling for Abby, too. But maybe her imitation of
Michaela has gone too far. Because someone who wants to
hurt Michaela has begun to call 0 and with each chilling
threat, Abby wonders if she'll be the one to take her
sister's punishment . . . when the caller takes her
life. . . .can be a deadly mix
