Summary

Susanna, Lady Appleton is recruited to infiltrate the household of a nobleman bent on rebellion against Queen Elizabeth. Once there, someone tries to kill her. But are they after her, or the woman whose identity she has borrowed? Set against the backdrop of a real historical event, the Rising of the Northern Earls of 1569, this sixth mystery in the Face Down series also brings together rival suitors for Susanna's hand. The Bangor Daily News calls this one "the most satisfying book in the series."
