"A good second chance at love romance"
Air Force pilot Nate Hawkins grieves the death of his
friend Scott Pierce. He feels strongly he must do
something for Scott's widow, Laurel, though he fears to do
so, as he has secretly loved her for what seems to him is
forever. Thus he offers friendship to Laurel, pregnant
with her deceased husband's child after ironically years of
fertility treatments. Though Laurel mourns the loss of her husband that she loved
deeply, she begins to fall in love with Nate. However, not
only does Laurel feel some guilt over violating Scott's
memory, Nate does not believe he is half the man her
husband was. Besides inadequacy, he knows she remains
ANOTHER MAN'S WIFE though Laurel tries to persuade him that
there is room for remembering her love for Scott and her
love for Nate in her large heart. Though the triangular relationship including a ghost has
been often used in novels and this tale is not quite at the
extraordinary level that Rebecca Winters normally achieves,
ANOTHER MAN'S WIFE absorbs the reader through the
tribulations of the lead protagonists. Fans will cherish
the memory of Scott and pray that Nate overcomes his
negative self-feelings to reach out for love. Laurel is a
fine female lead, but her Yoda-like understanding reduces
the conflict. Still a Ms. Winters' romance remains as
always a pleasant read for romance fans. Harriet Klausner

F-16 pilot Nate Hawkins didn't mean to fall in love with
his best friend's wife. He stayed completely away from
her. Nine years later they meet by chance. Laurel's a
widow and pregnant, but Nate knows it couldn't be Scott's
child. Tormented because he's still attracted to her, he
doesn't want to hear Laurel's explanation because no
matter
what, you don't tresspass on your best buddy's
territory.
SummaryA pregnant widow...
A grieving friend...
Nate Hawkins was a close friend of fellow air force pilot
Scott Pierce. But he concealed one fact from Scott: Nate
was in love with Scott's wife, Laurel. Now Scott is
deadand Laurel is obviously pregnant. But the
timing's off, and as far as Nate's concerned, that can
mean only one thing.
Nate doesn't know it, but he's wrong. After years of
fertility treatments Laurel is indeed pregnantwith
Scott's child. She loved her husband faithfully. But
despite herself, she's starting to fall in love with Nate,
the man Scott admired above all others. The man who
believes she betrayed her husband...his friend.
But despite himself, Nate wants to be with Laurel, a woman
he considers another man's wife.
