"Very funny characters plus a good mystery."
Life is supposed to be filled with adventure. At least,
that's what 50s film noire actress Lilian Redmond has
always told her granddaughter, Lily. However, with Lily's
parents constantly harping on the propriety of bankers and
her engagement practically arranged since childhood, she's
had very little time for adventure. Add to that the fact
that Lily has been constantly warned about giving in to her
grandmother's infamous "wild side," and it's no wonder
Lilian chastises her for a decided "lack of spunk." Instead
of being bold and adventurous, Lily is reserved and, as her
grandmother tells her - boring. On a mission from her proper parents to halt one of her
grandmother's schemes, Lily is thrown into an adventure of
her own. It begins with finding a handsome man handcuffed
to her grandmother's bed. While eluding her parents about
the absolute failure of her mission from the get-go, Lily
finds herself dodging hit-men, technological gadgets,
mobsters and even the sexy private investigator whose own
mission was to convince his aging father not to join Lilian
Redmond on her wild-goose-chase. Though Lilian merely wants to do some amateur investigation
on a murder from her years in the movies, people attempt to
thwart her at every turn. Lily alternately gets rescued and
frustrated by Sam Spade Hunter, the investigator whose
father has long adored Lilian Redmond. The characters in CHASING LILY Lily are hysterical, and
multiple twists in the action create many surprises for the
reader. There's a fun mystery entwined with the romance, so
the story stays fast-paced and exciting. This is a great
book to read pool-side or while curled up in a sofa in the
air conditioning.

SummaryTHE BIG BAD WOLF . . .
Named for her free-spirited grandmother, Alabama belle
Lily Redmond couldn't be more different. Engaged to the
staid banker her parents chose for her, she can't relate
to the wild life Grandma Lillian once led as a Hollywood
starlet. Unfortunately, recent widowhood has made Lillian
restlessand now she's about to dig up an old murder
scandal by publishing her memoirs. But when Lily arrives
at Lillian's house to distract her from the project, she
finds her wily grandmother goneand a very different
kind of "distraction" handcuffed to the bed . . .
...NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD
How does a normally competent P.I. get outsmarted by an
old lady? Sam Spade Hunter wishes he had the answer to
that one . . . and the keys to these damn handcuffs. His
father (and boss) is the one who gave him this crazy
assignment. It seems he knows Lillian from her Hollywood
days, and believes she is in some danger. Unfortunately,
saving face before getting on with the case is out of the
question, once the younger Lily walks through the door.
She's sworn to stick right by his side until they find her
grandmother. The best thing to do would be to ditch Lily
as soon as possible. The problem is, he doesn't want
to . . .
