"Two hilariously funny stories with a touch of magic!"
Cindy and the Fella by Jacqueline Diamond is the
story of Cindy McChad. Roland, her fiancé of six years
goes off to college in California to get his masters degree
in Medieval Studies. When the rat sends her an email
breaking their engagement, Cindy thinks nothing of taking a
leave of absence from her teaching job and going to
California to see if she can make Roland come to his
senses. When she gets there, it's not Roland that she
falls madly in love with but Hugh Bemling, a poetry
professor. Now if she can just get Hugh to pay attention
to her, she'll be in good shape. She doesn't count on
Roland deciding that he wants her back. This could be a
problem... Calling All Glass Slippers also by Jackie
Diamond tells us the story of Jared Benson, the drama coach
and Hugh's best friend. Back in college, Jared
inadvertently let the girl he was highly attracted to go
when he became afraid of commitment and he's regretted it
ever since. Now he has a second chance to make it all turn
out all right when the playwright who wins the prize for
the best play turns out to be none other than his old
college girlfriend Laura Ellison. Can Jared get it right
this time or is Laura not willing to give it another try?
Only time will tell and some 'magical' glass slippers. Both of these stories gave me fits of giggles in
the most inappropriate places. I thoroughly enjoyed both
of these magically charming funny stories. I've been a fan
of Jackie Diamond for years and these two stories are just
a couple of the reasons why. I look for many more years of
stories from this exceptional author.
