"Fantastic Edge of Your Seat Suspense"

Victoria "Tori" LeFleur went to Bon Terre, Louisiana to find out the truth about her life. After her father's death, she found a deed to a house in Louisiana and a marriage certificate with her mother's name and a Russell Bishop. She wonder if her father, Claude LeFleur and Russell Bishop are the same man since she has only known her father since she was four years old. Tori has many unanswered questions and decides to travel to Bon Terre to find out the answers. What she finds there, she finds unbelievable.

The town of Bon Terre hasn't forgotten about the double murder that occurred there 25 years ago or the disappearance of the prime suspect and his young daughter. Tori finds it unbelievable that everyone in town is convinced that her father is the monster that they say he is, but learning that she is that missing girl and that her life has been one big lie, shatters Tori and she doesn't know what to believe. But Tori becomes determined to find out the truth.....but discovering the truth doesn't prove to be easy. Tori is shocked when she meets the very sexy and gorgeous Sheriff of Bon Terre, Ian Montague, the man who also lives next door. On their first meeting he informs her that he wants her gone from his town as soon as possible. He doesn't want her messing around in his town and disturbing the citizens by dredging up painful memories for everyone, especially him. That night Ian also lost his father along with Tori's mother and it changed his life forever. But despite the fact that Ian wants Tori to leave town, he can't help but keep an eye on her when it appears that someone wants to punish Tori for the alleged sins of her father. Ian stays close to Tori's side to protect her from an unknown threat which leads to the two of them fight against their sizzling and undeniable attraction to one another. Can they find the answers to questions that they may not like the answers to? Can their love heal their wounded souls?

I could read this book again immediately!!! THE COP NEXT DOOR by Jenna Mills is spectacular. I love the fantastic mystery and suspense in this book. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, Ms. Mills threw in an amazing twist, that had me reconsidering everything!! The intense, heated and dynamo attraction between Ian and Tori made my heart pick up and hold my breath with anticipation that they would finally come together. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Ms. Mills masterfully writes fantastic suspense that has readers guessing right to the end of the book. Ms. Mills brings us such a fine, sexy emotionally wounded and intriguing man. Ian is a dynamite hero who will have the readers hooked as soon as they meet him. He had me excited, in chills and enthralled when he said....."Sugar, I am the police!" Tori is an amazing heroine who gives the sexy Sheriff a run for his money. She is independent, smart and the readers know that she will love Ian the way he deserves to be loved. She was my kind of heroine that is the perfect match for this hero. For me, Ms. Mills will have to work hard to top this story. I have read other fabulous books by Jenna Mills but for me she outdid herself with THE COP NEXT DOOR. This book was fast-paced, had dynamo characters and an edge of your seat suspense.....that is my kind of book!
