Mma Precious Ramotswe, Botswana's only female private
investigator, should probably have called her agency "No. 1
Lady's," since she's its sole operative. But apart from
that grammatical slip, she doesn't miss a trick.

Reading this book is like listening to the genteel tones of
an Oxford don reciting lyrical folktales. The author has a
unique and refreshing style that was a true joy to read.
This is not a typical "mystery" book, despite the title.
