REVIEW

"A tongue in cheek look at romance novelists!"

I must say that I've read several books by Linda Bleser and she never disappoints. Her stories are delightful, enchanting and utterly amazing. This one is no exception!

Romance author Lace Kincaid is a myth. Actually she is two people and those two people are Ashley and Lexi Kincaid, identical twin sisters. Ashley is shy and retiring. She's the one who actually writes the books but Lexi is flamboyant and outgoing so she does all the public relations and the book signings. So far it's worked out well for them but Lace Kincaid is up for the Crystal Quill award, which is to be given out at the Heartlines Magazine convention to be held in Albany, New York. Ashley would love to be the one to actually accept the award but she's not sure she has what it takes. Not only that but since she broke up with her sleaze of a fiancé, she's been completely blocked and hasn't been able to write a word for weeks. Lexi doesn't know this fact as of yet.

Meanwhile, Lexi is having a hot and heavy affair with The Sapphire Man so when she has to meet journalist Rick Orlando for an interview, she tells Ashley she will have to cover for her. Ashley doesn't want to but figures just this once she can do it. She has no way of knowing that Rick Orlando is a hunk in his own right and looks just like one of the heroes in her novels.

Rick thinks he's going crazy. One minute he sizzles when he's in Lace's company and the next she leaves him cold. It is almost as if she's two different people. Is he going crazy or is there an explanation for this phenomenon?

This tongue in cheek look at romance novelists, conventions and cover models had me laughing one minute and sniffling the next. I thoroughly enjoyed this captivating tale and look forward to many more books from the incomparable Linda Bleser!
