"Poignantly beautiful romance with sizzling sensuality"
Ex-Nascar driver Mark Remington returns after seven long
years to help his pregnant, recently widowed sister-in-law,
Lauren, get back on her feet. The same woman who was once
his closest friend and the reason he turned his back on the
family who adopted him. With his brother's death, Mark
realizes Lauren is left with no financial security, even
the home she's shared with her husband will be lost to
her. Despite her reluctance, Mark convinces Lauren to come
stay with him at his ranch until the baby is born and she
has a chance to get back on her feet and pick up the pieces
of her shattered life. He's also hoping both of them will
have some time to get the much deserved healing they both
need. Only when he's holding Lauren in his arms again, he
realizes he never stopped loving her or needing her, but
how can he possibly hope for her love when it's quite clear
she feels nothing but contempt for him? Lauren McKenzie looked upon Mark as her hero since she was
but eight years old. However, it was his brother, Nate
that she married. On the eve of her wedding, an innocent
fun filled evening went off track and changed their lives
forever. Mark walked away from their friendship but
remained an unforgettable shadow in her marriage. Now,
with Nate gone and her life in shambles, Lauren finds
herself having to depend on the very man she's been trying
to hate for the past seven years. Can these two vulnerable
and lonely people work past their obstacles and find love? Once again Cindy Gerard presents her fans with a poignantly
beautiful romance, IN HIS LOVING ARMS, that will leave you
feeling warm and content. Don't start reading this one
just before going to bed -- you won't be able to put it down
until you turn the last page. Trust me. That's exactly
what happened to me. Mark and Lauren are enchanting characters who leave a
lasting impression on their audience. Ms. Gerard has done
an exceptional job of portraying Mark's character so
beautifully. I was ready to climb into his arms five
minutes after I met him. Actually, I think the exact
moment I fell hook line and sinker for this tender-hearted
hunk was when he sat up all night on the cold bathroom
floor holding a grieving Lauren in his arms. Of course,
one of the most delightful scenes in the story is the image
of Mark as he paints Hot Pink toenail polish on little
impish feet belonging to the adorable twins. You simply
have to love a man who does that. IN HIS LOVING ARMS is packed with sizzling sensuality and
scenes tender enough to make you teary-eyed. The
characters will steal your heart -- pure and simple. The
descriptions are vivid and paint a very believable story.
The narration is as excellent as ever. Ms. Gerard proves
once again that she's a master at weaving tales that shoot
straight for the heart -- and she definitely does it with
incomparable style. Don't miss IN HIS LOVING ARMS. It's
another keeper.
