REVIEW

"A full-of-fun, hilariously sexy romp!!"

Informed by his family lawyers that he must marry before his thirtieth birthday or risk losing his inheritance, sinfully attractive cop Shane Huntington finds himself facing a real dilemma. Due to the fact that he didn't follow in his family's footsteps and become a doctor, he is considered the black sheep of the family and this stipulation, as indicated in his grandfather's will, is just another way of getting him to fall in with their rules. Shane's always been the type to avoid the ėM' word. He loves his bachelorhood very dearly. However, he needs the money for something that's very important to him and he's prepared to consider marriage for that very reason. If only it were that simple. The lawyers have also provided him with a list of requirements that his bride-to-be must possess and that leaves Shane with very little time to find The Perfect Wife, especially since his thirtieth birthday is just a few weeks away! So, he does what he's always done when in need of good, reliable, sound advice -- he turns to Paige Turner, the best librarian in town. Not for a moment does he imagine that asking for her help in this matter will lead to a hot and intimate dilemma of another kind!

Paige Turner walked away from her old life and made a new one in Chicago. Leading a quiet life as the town's librarian, Paige is determined to never be sucked in again by the charms of a devastatingly handsome man who would only end up breaking her heart. Too bad her errant heart can't get a handle on that, for it jumps into overdrive every time Shane walks in the doors of the library. Okay, so he doesn't see her as potential 'bride' material, but it's Paige he turns to for advice each time he needs it. This time round though, he doesn't want help with a book -- he wants Paige to help him find The Perfect Wife! So why, when her mind is listing all the reasons not to get tangled up in this situation, is her heart tuning out and saying yes?

Cathie Linz's latest release BETWEEN THE COVERS is a hilarious, sexy and full of fun romp that is not to be missed by Duet lovers. If you enjoy books with laugh out loud situations, witty dialogue and plenty of sass, you'll find BETWEEN THE COVERS absolutely delightful. I found myself laughing or grinning throughout the whole story.

Shane Huntington is a gorgeous, very sexy and utterly charming hero. You can't help but fall for this guy. It's not so much that he's oozing sex appeal, or acting the Macho Man. It's more than that. Shane is funny, caring, tender, hilarious and adorable. He has a good head on his shoulders and a mushy heart in his chest. Paige is a gal that almost every woman can identify with. She's cautious, careful, been hurt before, tender hearted but still hiding a temper under all that auburn hair! She's aware right from the word go that she shouldn't get mixed up in this but because Shane's so good at tugging on her heartstrings, she gives in. It's only once they get their crazy scheme started that they both start to realize what they're in for, and by that time, it's already too late!

Cathie Linz displays a wonderful talent for combining beautifully created characters, scintillating dialogue and sassy humor into an absolutely delicious story. The dialogue was fantastic. I got so caught up in it, I could actually see it all unfolding before my eyes like a movie. Add to that a cast of simply outstanding characters and you'll have a romantic comedy that will have you laughing out loud throughout the tale. The scene where Paige has to meet with the family lawyers while Shane is off getting a lap dance from an indecently clad stripper was hilarious! It's true that the main characters make the story what it is, but in this case, Ms. Linz has provided a superb set of secondary characters who are a force to be reckoned with, and they add a good amount of humor to the story. I especially enjoyed meeting Paige's grandmother and father. What a pair!

Cathie Linz is an awesome author and definitely an auto-buy for me. Lovers of romantic comedy will really want to grab a copy of this book the moment it hits the shelves. It's definitely worth reading and putting on your Keepers shelf!
