"Get set for a super fast ride full of sizzling passion and tons of humor!"
Career-life counselor Amanda Connor needs a winner for the
Life Coach Lotto prize and fast! Channel Six is planning
to cover news of the winner and if no one comes forward to
claim the prize, Amanda could lose her TV contract and her
business. Being a very determined lady and a fast talker,
she has a knack for talking people into doing anything. So
when she comes face to face with a potential winner, even
though she would have preferred someone who was slightly
more professional looking, she convinces Michelangelo
Anthony Cavaco that he's just the man she needs. How could
anyone refuse a good looking woman like Amanda? Chief cook, Mike Cavaco and his team lost their job during
the April Fool's Day fiasco and Mike refuses to tell any of
them the reason behind it. While he searches for a
restuarant job for his team and himself, Mike drives a taxi
for one of his friends. When his old neighbor finds him
asleep in the taxi, he feels very ashamed and becomes
determined to do better. In the process of cleaning out
the taxi, he finds a string of lottery tickets and takes
them to the local TV station. He does his best to clarify
that he's not the owner of the tickets but Amanda suddenly
has a winner and the TV crew gets the declaration on film!
Poor Mike. He agrees to spend one day with dynamic Amanda,
but he never realizes and has absolutely no inkling of what
she has in store for him as she begins his makeover! Lisa Plumley gives new meaning to romantic comedy with her
latest release, MAKING OVER MIKE. Get set for a super fast
ride full of sizzling passion, steaming sexual tension,
lighthearted banter and tons of humor that will leave you
laughing out loud. One of my favorite scenes from the book is when Mike's in
the beauty salon. All those ladies around a super macho
hunk like Mike, and they want to do what? Wax his chest?
Do you think he sat still for that one? Oh no, not our
Mike. He ran! Lisa Plumley breathes life into these absolutely wonderful
characters and makes them so very real. Her descriptions
throughout the story are vivid and very convincing. I
couldn't praise this book enough. The characters, main and
secondary, make it so totally unforgettable and very
special too. MAKING OVER MIKE is a testament to the fact that Lisa
Plumley is without a doubt one of the divas of Romantic
Comedy. I highly recommend this book!
