Summary

Fifth in the Face Down Mystery Series, featuring sixteenth-century gentlewoman, herbalist, and sleuth Susanna, Lady Appleton, this novel combines mystery and romance when Susanna and her new love, London merchant Nick Baldwin, try to save two women unjustly accused of witchcraft in England in 1567. Although this is part of a series, there is no need to have read the first four books first. This one is designed to stand on its own.
