"A Wonderful Time Travel!"
I believe this was one of the most powerful and emotional
time travels I've ever read. It pulled at my heartstrings
in a big way. I started reading it one afternoon and
finished reading it the next morning. It is 1945 and Vickie Cheney has come to Charleston
to finally see if she can go back to her normal life after
the war. She's in Charleston to get her nine year old baby
sister Cathy who had to be put in an orphanage while Vickie
was a nurse in the war. Adrian Bennett is also in
Charleston to pick up his only son, Nate from the very same
orphanage. The problem is that they have found out that
Nate and Cathy perished in a fire. Adrian and Vickie are
devastated. Then while roaming the streets of Charleston Vickie
keeps seeing Cathy with a young boy. When she tries to get
close to them, they run away and disappear. When Vickie
and Adrian finally meet and know who each other are, they
compare notes and Adrian confesses that he sees them too.
Adrian feels that they are just restless spirits. Vickie
and Adrian do not know that there's much more to the
story. Can they just figure it all out before it's too
late for them all? This story had me spellbound. I've always been a
fan of Eugenia Riley and she's done it again with this
book. It is a must read!
