"Very entertaining office romance!"
To Tess Gordon, Gabriel Stearne is the boss from hell. For
all his business acumen and undeniable success, Gabriel
seemingly has no sense of compassion or warmth in his
soul. He's brusque, sexy, rude, handsome, domineering,
gorgeous, sexy, and simply insufferable. Sexy too!
Despite his good looks though, Tess treats him with cool
reserve and always maintains a very professional demeanor.
The last thing she wants is to be in a situation where
she's got no choice but to spend time with him in intimate
surroundings. However, as you can probably guess, that's
exactly what happens. Tess needs money to help her brother out with his
difficulties and is planning to ask for a raise. Before
she gets a chance, though, someone leaves a baby in the
office, claiming Gabriel is the father. The problem is,
neither Tess nor Gabriel, who vehemently denies the baby is
his, knows a thing about babies! Ever the suave
businessman, Gabriel offers to pay Tess if she'll agree to
help him look after baby Harry until he can arrange an
alternative. She agrees to stay at his apartment. Gabriel Stearne is shocked to find a baby in his office.
He's a businessman with absolutely 'no' knowledge about how
to look after a baby. As he always does when he needs
cool, calm, professional assistance, he turns to his
unfazable personal assistant, Tess. She's a woman - surely
she is better capable of looking after a baby! Gabriel
convinces her to help him until he can engage the services
of a reliable nanny and track down Harry's mother. Late
night feedings and nappy changes cause complications - or
should I say, make things really interesting - when Gabriel
finds himself becoming increasingly attracted to Tess! Jessica Hart's new Harlequin Romance, ASSIGNMENT: BABY is a
delightful read. Full of interesting characters and a plot
that twists and turns when you least expect it, ASSIGNMENT:
BABY will keep readers glued to their seats. Warm, richly portrayed characters are the main attraction
in this novel. Ms. Hart has created a wonderfully
memorable hero in Gabriel Stearne and I loved reading how
he deals with his attraction for Tess. If you like to read office romances that practically
enthrall from beginning to end, you simply have to read
ASSIGNMENT: BABY!
